As I stepped into the new year of 2025, I began my new roles within YWAM Toowoomba. These are co-leading our cafe space with another YWAM staff leader; as well as leading a weekly bible study for those on logistical roles on our YWAM base. As January has come to a close, I leave this month with even more passion and anticipation for the roles I’m in and what God is up to.

Already in January, our base has seen our September DTS graduate, having said our goodbyes and have in the last few days, welcomed the new January DTS students as they entered into their first week of lectures. It really is special to witness how God is moving in each and every students lives, as they come to ‘KNOW GOD’, and ‘MAKE HIM KNOWN’. (YWAM’s core values: https://ywam.org/about-us/values)

I’m current only a month into leading a bible study, and yet have already seen the fruit of it. I’ve been feeling very inspired by the Lord and His heart for the space. The opportunity to study the bible with other believers, is something that has been on my heart to lead for a while now, and I am privileged to be leading it.

I actually began to do a bible study a few years ago on the Sunshine Coast with my friends, but eventually gave up on the idea. But God didn’t forget about this desire and passion of mine; and it has been burning on my heart for a few years now and I feel excited and ready for what God is wanting to do in and through this new ministry, as I lead or more like co-lead with God.

When it comes to our cafe space and my personal point of view on this ministry; I can see how it truly can be a form of ministry. As someone from the Sunshine Coast, I’ve grown up around the coastal coffee culture and I believe in the impact this ministry carries, and I’m excited to continue to grow my understanding and skill within the coffee industry.

The more I serve in these kinds of roles, the more I see that it is as much of a partnership with God, a co-labouring than anything else. I can’t do any of these roles on my own, I was always meant to rely on God and invite Him in. To bring Him into all the adventures that I go on, big or small.

So, this is what I’ve been up to, and will be focusing on as I complete my last 5 moths of my staffing commitment here at YWAM Toowoomba.

Financial Investment

When you give financially, with investments no matter the amount, you are sowing a seed of faith and partnering wth us in the endeavour to further the gospel. There are many avenues, we achieve this through, some of our focuses at YWAM Toowoomba are : our ‘Training and Equipping’ ministries which are the schools we run on base. Our ‘Mercy Ministries’, these are the practical ways we can help those in need in Toowoomba. As well as our outward outreaching to the city, through ministries such as evangelism and prayer walks, where we prayer over the city as we walk.

I will emphasis, I do receive finical support from the government, which is sufficient to cover my current school fees and rental expenses. Any donations, will be used to cover additional expenses, or to my missions savings account, which will go towards my future missions funding (for further schools/study), as the Lord leads.
